What is Apologetics?
Apologetics is that branch of Christian theology which gives philosophical expression
and clarification to the total Christian system of truth-claims, and life. This truth-claim is over against all forms of non-Christian
philosophical claims of truth and knowledge, with reference to various specific attacks against the Christian faith. The Christian
truth-claims, has at its center the infinite, personal, living God and His revelation of Himself to man, and salvation from
sin in Christ alone; while the non-Christian claims, has at its center man in his own effort to work for his salvation.
Thus, hopelessness and pessimism are its conclusions.
